Boyhood

"Wanna catch a movie? Ninja turtles? Lucy?" These are the hot movies now. But Boyhood is not known to many. 

A movie about a young boy grows into young man. 

The actors really grows up in the movie, they meet every year for 12 years to film this. 

And really, watching it is like watching through a life of his, thinking about how my life's been. Ordinary, but real. Worth your 164 minutes in it. :)

I specially like this scene.

“You know how everyone’s always saying seize the moment?” A girl whom Mason just met asks. “I don’t know, I’m kind of thinking it’s the other way around, you know, like the moment seizes us.”
He replies, “Yeah, I know, it’s constant, the moments, it’s just — it’s like it’s always right now, you know?” Then they look straight into camera, smile. 

Nutella & GO! Drink

Found it in Singapore finally!

It's as good as I thought it will be, though slightly expensive. 

Cheaper alternative will be getting a big tub of Nutella and pokky sticks and dip it in the tub! Haha. 

But it's so cool and convenient with drink in it!

Part of Growing Up

Saw this article online.

我坐在你的旁边，看着你的眼睛，很平静的说：“找个人嫁了，结婚。” 　 

I sit beside u, look at ur eyes, said calmly,"Find someone else, marry him."

你却说：“你不爱我了？” 

U said,"You don't love me anymore?"　

“对，你都跟别人结婚了，都不要我了，我还爱你干什么，爱和不爱有区别吗?”

"Yea, you already married, you don't want me anymore, why should I love u still? Love or not, does it make a difference?"

末了，我还说了句：“放心，如果有那一天，我肯定不等你"

I added,"Don't worry, if that day comes, I will not wait for u."

Not that we don't love anymore, it's part of the growing up process.

Only time will tell what's really yours.

In the mean time, life's short, just be happy :)

Miracle in cell no. 7

A Korean movie recommended by friend. If you wanna watch it, set aside 2 hours alone. Because you gonna cry like crazy.

Main setting is at the prison, cell no. 7, a story about an intellectually impaired father and his super cute and sunshine daughter. And a bunch of bad guys in prison, they may have commited a crime, it doesn't mean they are bad all the time. 

Life is unfair. Really unfair, especially after watching this movie. But we cannot blame it. That's our fate. Live with it, positively and happily, u will see the rainbow after the rain.

I shall skip the story and let you watch it.

Find it on YouTube! And prepare lots of tissues. Haha.

National Day Dinner on Level 43

It's 49th national day of Singapore.

But the main point is the fireworks! Haha

We went to this restaurant called Zafferano, an Italian fine dining place on level 43. The whole setting was cool, comfortable. The alfresco area is why people heading here, to have a view from top for the fireworks! 

This was how it looked like, the night view. I thought MBS higher than level 43, but it seems not so high actually. 

It's menu of the day.

And of course, the food!!!

The oyster was very juicy, with the lemon sherbet, it's perfect match.

Lobster! My first time eating it!!! Taste like prawn but chewy.

Didn't pay too much attention to it, because I was anxiously waiting for fireworks!

And.... Da da! 

It started! 

Forgive my shaking hands... Too excited!

Can't stop taking photos...

I did not take the whole 15 minutes.

I wanted to leave some time to really enjoy the moment. Looking around, people are so taking photos/videos. Is it for their Facebook/Instagram, like me? Or is it for capturing the moment like today, with the loved ones beside them?

Fireworks is short, in-the-moment thing, like how u fall in love. But, it's so so so beautiful! I can never get tired of watching them, feeling so happy when I m in the world of love. :)

And continue my dinner from there is the main course. Cod fish. 

The fish actually tasted so sweet! OMG. No wonder this is the MAIN course.

And my favourite of the meal- dessert!

How I felt about tonight?

It's enjoyable, but definitely not worth the price.

Banana Overnight Oats

Finally it's August!

This is my breakfast today. Day 1 of overnight oats

The result is better than what I expected! It tastes good!

Make a good breakfast, so fulfilling~

Ingredient:

2/3 cup oats

2/3 cup whole milk

1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract 

1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Mix all this together in a container and left it overnight in a fridge, took out in the morning, placed sliced banana and whole grain cereal. *Dang lang!* Done! 

I am making Banana Oats, as this is the easiest out of all the fruits :p

Will try out some other fruits soon! Stay tuned :)

Some facts about Oats:

No fat, lots of fiber, zero cholesterol, which can help to lower blood cholesterol, makes u feel full.. etc

Good and cheap!

If u don't know what to eat for breakfast or rush every morning to work, hmmmm, try this?

Don't skip breakfast! It makes u stupid-er. Hahaha!
